The popular fitness tracker, wireless-enabled wearable technology devices maker Fitbit has now launched the new Ionic smart watch. The Fitbit Ionic is the company’s first full-fledged smartwatch. The device runs Fitbit OS, a new operating system designed for the Ionic smartwatch.

Fitbit Ionic smartwatch comes with a lot of interesting features such as Swim exercise mode, Fitbit Coach, Run Detect, Onboard storage, Fitbit Pay, Smart notifications, Improved heart rate technology, New sensor technology, and Multi-day battery life.

Fitbit has been supporting Microsoft’s Windows platform since the beginning with new features being added to its Windows 10 app on a regular basis. The question is whether Fitbit Ionic and other new products will work on Windows 10 Mobile or not. Tristan Rice, Product Manager at Fitbit confirmed that Fitbit Ionic, Flyer and Aria 2, are all 100% supported on both Windows 10 Mobile and PC.

“I want to confirm that Fitbit Ionic, Flyer and Aria 2, are all 100% supported through our Windows 10 UWP and that includes Mobile & Desktop. If you are using Windows 10 Mobile, you will have the same functionality as on iOS and Android,” Fitbit’s Tristan Rice, Product Manager said.
