Twitter has had an Xbox app for very long but which actually lacked lot of the basic functionalities compared to its app for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile.

Today the Twitter team has pushed out a major update for its Xbox App. The latest update comes with lot of new features along with the improvements for the performance.

After the latest Twitter update, Xbox user will now be able to directly log in giving access to timeline and browse comments on videos. Users will now be able to watch two videos side by side.

The latest update also brings Periscope integration which allows users to browse a global map of live video streams from across the world along with 360 videos.

However the latest update still does not allows users the ability to tweet which is a bit odd considering the Twitter app on Windows 10 PC and Mobile actually has the feature.

Its really interesting to note that Twitter has launched separate apps for Windows 10 PC and Mobile and for Xbox one. The Twitter for Xbox still doesn’t contain all the features available on the Windows 10 PC and Mobile app and some of the features are missing on the Windows 10 PC and Mobile app which are available on the Xbox One Twitter application.

However this is finally good news that Twitter is finally updating their app for Xbox One users and we hope the App on Xbox One will be on par with the Windows 10 PC and Mobile app and vice versa.

If any of our users haven’t yet tried the Twitter for Xbox App they can do so by clicking the below link.
