Microsoft is shutting down its two Twitter account, Windows Support and Surface Support. Microsoft officially announced that the company will shutter Windows Support and Surface Support Twitter handles. Microsoft in a tweet revealed that the accounts will be closing on August 28.

Microsoft has asked the followers of Windows Support and Surface Support to follow Microsoft Helps Twitter account instead. This is not a new move from the company, almost a year ago, Microsoft also closed Lumia Helps Twitter account.

The company is apparently trying to clear away the users’ confusion. The Windows Support and Surface Support accounts will continue to run for one week but it may or may not be able to help the users.

Microsoft Helps Twitter account will now answer questions related to Windows, Windows Phone, Office, Surface and other products. What do you think about Microsoft’s new decision? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
