Microsoft today released a new device firmware updates for its Surface Pro Devices. Users on the Surface Pro will be seeing the firmware update which is currently available for download. The changelog has been updated on the Surface Pro update history page.

With the latest Firmware update Microsoft has began enabling Support for Windows 10 S. The updates are basically focused more on compatibility for the Surface Pro Devices. Below is the full changelog:

  • Intel(R) Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Processor Participant: 8.2.11004.3973 enable support for Windows 10s.
  • Intel(R) Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Power Participant: 8.2.11004.3973 enable support for Windows 10s.
  • Intel(R) Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Generic Participant: 8.2.11004.3973 enable support for Windows 10s.

As seen with the changelog, Microsoft has brought support for Windows 10 S, the latest OS which was already available for download by anyone on their machines. Earlier Surface Pro users had reported issues with the Windows Hello experience and we hope Microsoft has fixed the issues with Windows Hello in the latest firmware update.
