Microsoft has just pushed out a shiny new update for the Photos app for Windows 10. The update is currently rolling out to Production build users on PCs. The update is a huge one in terms of features and introduces a lot of new goodies.

First of all when you open the app, you’ll spot a new layout in the Collections tab. You can now adjust the thumbnail size of the images from the thumbnail view.

The other important feature added is the ability to zoom in or out of the pictures using the mouse scroll wheel. It can be found under the Settings page. While it may appear to be a small addition, but it’s a welcome one. I hated to zoom in with the app buttons before but this update has made it really easy to view my favourite pictures with the Photos app.

Another great addition is the new Video editing options. Although not as good as our favourite Video Editor, WinX HD, the app can now be used for a quick trim or crop. There’s also options for drawing on the videos leveraging Windows Ink. Pretty cool, huh?

The editing options for normal Photos has also got a makeover with a new UI. New filters have been introduced and the editing options look a lot more professional. Sharing options have also been added. Bug fixes and improvements have also crept in making the app more snappy and faster.

After a long time, the app got a massive update and we are quite happy with it and so will be the users. The update is not available on Mobile or for Insiders yet, but we think that it’ll roll out for all soon. In the meantime you should click on the link below and grab the update,
