Microsoft had launched its AI chat bot in the year 2014 and became popular with young men. The AI chat bot has now been removed from the Chinese Internet giant, Tencent after it posted unpatriotic messages reportedly: “My China dream is to go to America”.

Last year Tencent had deleted a Twitter chatbot called Tay which gave racist responses to questions when asked referring to Hitler, Nazism. In one tweet the bot wrote: “bush did 9/11 and Hitler would have done a better job than the monkey we have now. donald trump is the only hope we’ve got.”

Tencent in a statement said that they are working on improving the services of the Chatbot which will be resumed after improvements. Microsoft though hasn’t responded to the request for comments as yet.

Chat apps are very popular in China with WeChat reportedly having almost 800 million daily active users. Microsoft’s bot however still appears to be available on Tencent’s owned WeChat app.
