Avenza Maps developers Avenza Systems Inc had developed a Windows Phone app for the platform and has been regularly working on updating the app for Windows users. Now the company in a recent email conversation to one of a Reddit user by a Avenza Staff has confirmed that the company will no longer continue to support their Windows Phone application.
The email states that Avenza is planning to end support for Windows Phones but the app however will be available in the Windows Store and will not be removed. The app will not be receiving any updates in the future and will continue to work in its current state without any new and updated features.
This comes as a bad news for Windows Phone users but could be a positive development for users who are currently using the app and will be able to use it going forward since the app will not be removed from the Windows Store.
