Earlier in the day Microsoft announced the availability of the Windows 10 Creators update for all the compatible devices. The company later in the day in a blog post confirmed that it will be ending support for its Windows 10 version 1511 aka November Update from 10th October 2017.

The company requests the users who are still on the Older version 1511, to upgrade to the latest Windows 10 Creators Update by manually downloading the upgrade to keep the device secure.

Microsoft has also updated details about the life cycle of Windows Updates which includes 1507,1511,1607 and 1703. The end of support for Windows 10 version 1511 means that the company want be pushing out any more cumulative updates after October Patch Tuesday.

We would need to wait and see if the company actually withdraws support for the Windows 10 version 1511 since it is currently still supporting the Original version of Windows 1507 which it had planned to stop support in May.
