Microsoft today announced the launch of its Windows Bounty Program to improve and raise the bar of Windows Security and to maintain higher security for its users on Windows PCs. The Program consists of four categories which gives good hackers monetary payouts ranging between $500 to $250,000.

The researchers would be eligible for the monetary payouts on successful reporting the exploits found in various or all Windows features. The main focus of the Program is to cover all the features of the Windows Insider Preview by focusing on areas such as Hyper V, Windows Defender and more.

The continuation of the Bounty program is going to be for an indefinite period at the sole discretion of Microsoft. The First finder of the Vulnerability already known by the company internally will be paid a maximum of 10% of the highest amount.

Along with the Vulnerability if a researcher is able to find any critical or important class remote code execution which effects the customer’s piracy will also be eligible for the Bounty program by the company.
