Microsoft rolled out a new version of its Skype app for iOS and Android across the globe last week. After the new Skype update many users have complained about the new Skype app performance and its Experience on Mobile “as worst ever”.

Having listened to the complaints of the users, the Skype team in a blog post confirmed that they are working on building a next generation Skype app with the help of the community members. The post explains that the Skype team is listening, updating and responding to the feedback of the Skype users.

The Skype team also confirmed the roll out of the new changes like ability to delete contacts, conversations and multi task option while calling along with planning to roll out more new features to improve the Skype User experience.

The Skype team is also working on reintroducing “Status display” for contacts on the home screen to make it easy for users to see who is active apart from bringing Native sharing capabilities on both Android and iOS allowing users to share content to Skype chats from other apps and services.

Users will also be receiving new themes and color options to personalize their Skype experience apart from an updated User Interface to improve legibility and make it easier to navigate and access conversations.

So Users on Skype app can look forward to seeing more updates and features in the coming days or weeks from the Skype team and can share any feedback via the Skype app by clicking on the “Send Feedback option”.
