You can now download SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 and openSUSE Leap 42 for PCs directly from the Windows Store. In annual Build 2017 Conference, Microsoft had promised that they will bring Linux distros to the Windows Store. Today, Microsoft has fulfilled the promise.

SUSE has launched the Linux Enterprise Server and openSUSE leap for Windows 10 PCs on the Windows Store. Although, not all distros are available but we are expecting Ubuntu and Fedora to arrive on Windows Store in the coming months.

It is worth noting that both apps are available for Windows Insider Devices running Windows 10 Build 16190.0 or later. The size of both SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 and openSUSE Leap 42 is around 200 MB.

As described on the Windows Store, the openSUSE distribution is a stable, easy to use and complete multi-purpose Linux distribution. It is aimed towards users and developers working on the desktop or server.
