Microsoft is currently rolling out a new Firmware update for Surface Pro 3 devices currently. The latest Firmware Update comes with fixes for the battery life during Sleep. The update also includes improvements for reliability and battery life. Users have also been advised that the latest update does not effect their security, compatibility or performance of the devices.

Below is the full changelog of the fixes:

  • 38.13.50.0 improves battery life during sleep.
Surface – Firmware – 3.11.2150.0 Surface Pro UEFI

  • 3.11.2150.0 improves PXE performance on IPv6.

The Firmware Update is available via Windows Update and users would need to go to Settings> Update and Security>Check for Update.
