Microsoft couple of days ago had announced the release of the usage metrics which would be made available in the Power BI service for dashboard. With the usage metrics users will now be able to get access to key usage metrics for the dashboards and reports to prioritise the efforts.

The Usage Metrics option can be accessed by selecting the new “Usage Metrics” Option at the top right hand side. Microsoft will be currently displaying the number of views and viewers along with the numbers stack up compared to other dashboards in the organisation.

Microsoft will also allow users to access the Usage metrics via web or mobile app along with the option for users to use the “save as” feature to create a copy of the pre built usage metrics.

However users would need to have a Power BI license to access the usage metrics reports.
