Microsoft earlier had added Skype Notifications to Outlook.com and OneDrive for Web app users last year. The company had then not provided the option to turn off the notifications. So if any of the site was left open in a web browser then  users were still be able to receive multiple notifications from the Skype app in Windows.

In January this year the Redmond Giant added the feature to turn off Skype Notifications in Outlook.com and OneDrive. Now users have the option to silent the notifications even if any of the web apps are kept open in the tab.

The company has now released another new update to the app by introducing customize IM and Call notifications under Skype Settings. The latest update to the Web Brought new settings to turn off the pop up and sound notifications for chat messages and Skype calls.

Users now have the option to individually configure the Notifications for calls and messages as per their personal preference. You can access these new notification settings in Skype for web as well as Outlook.com and OneDrive (assuming that you have already linked your Skype account to your Microsoft account).
