Microsoft has demoed the Windows 10 on ARM at the company Build 2017 Developer Conference. The company has revealed some interesting details of Windows 10 on ARM devices.
Microsoft has officially confirmed that the existing x86 Windows apps will run on ARM Devices without making any changes to them. It means you can download any x86 Windows app from the internet and run on your device without making any modification.
Microsoft has demoed the feature by installing the x86 version of the 7zip app directly from the internet. The existing UWP apps available in the Windows Store comes with ARM support.
However, Microsoft’s employee has mentioned the devices will be 2-in-1 and laptops, they haven’t mentioned any phones support in case you are wondering.
