WhatsApp today released a new update this time for its Official version of the application. The update has pushed the app to new version 2.17.152.0. The update comes with some minor new features already which have been tested by the Beta users last couple of weeks.
The users of the Official version will now find a “Down Arrow” at the bottom right of the screen in the Chats section of the application. The Down Arrow is helpful to come directly to the end of the chat page instead of scrolling down. The team has also introduced the new “Delete all” feature in chat settings – Introduced the new “Clear all” feature in chat settings – Improvements with contact management – Changing phone number your friends will be informed of about this change – Enhancements to the preview links – Improvements with video playback in embedded player – Improvements in download and upload media files – Improved video playback while WhatsApp is downloading them – Improvements to VOIP Calls- Users can now share Multiple Contacts at once to any individual or friend instead of doing it one contact at a time. The users can share up to 100 contacts at one go. – Other fixes and general improvements.
All the above features have already been available for the Beta testers and after successful feedback and testing the WhatsApp team has finally released the new features to the Public version of the application.
The Beta application which stands at 2.17.150.0 is being updated regularly with new features which are being tested by the Beta users before a public roll out is done.
