Recently we reported that Microsoft has updated its Teams app for iOS devices with new features. Today the company has released the same update to its Microsoft Teams app for Windows Phone users. The app has been released with new and updated version 1.0.17.0.

The latest update release comes with new and significant major features to the Windows Phone application. The update comes with Single Sign in with Office 365 apps and the improved mobile support for Connector messages – Users can now @mention teams and channels – Open emails sent to a channel – Support for certificate based authentication – Support for mobile device management – Ability to un/follow channel from creation menu – Bug fixes and performance improvements.

Currently the Windows Phone application is not a fully featured app as compared to iOS and Android but we can expect that the company will update the app in coming days to bring it on par with other platforms.
