Microsoft in a blog post today announced that its HoloLens has passed the basic impact tests for protective eyewear standards in North America and Europe. This will enable enterprises to deploy HoloLens in industrial scenarios without issues.
The HoloLens passes the basic impact protection requirements of ANSI Z87.1, CSA Z94.3 and EN 166 which is the most common protective glass certification. The Commercial Suite of HoloLens includes the Development Edition HoloLens device, enterprise features for added security, device management and warranty.
