Microsoft has recently blocked the official upgrade path from Windows Phone 8.1 to Windows 10 Mobile. Windows Phone fans were upset over Microsoft’s decision of blocking Windows 10 Mobile Upgrade. Many users assumed that this is the end of the operating system. However, as I mentioned earlier, Microsoft has not killed Windows 10 Mobile yet.

Earlier, Windows Phones like Lumia 930, Lumia 640 were blocked from receiving Windows 10 Mobile Upgrade. Furthermore, Microsoft had pulled Upgrade Advisor app from Windows Store. However, now the Upgrade Advisor app is back in the Windows Store and it not showing error anymore. You can now once again upgrade the supported Windows Phones to Windows 10 Mobile.

It was apparently a temporary bug and Microsoft has finally fixed it. Microsoft is expected to begin the roll out of Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update on April 25 and only selected Windows Phones are eligible for the upgrade. Are you able to download Windows 10 on your Windows Phone?
