ALTBalaji, is a subsidiary company of one of India’s Leading television and movie production company Balaji Telefilms. The company has now launched a new video on demand service which is a Universal App available for both Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile.
The app is basically aimed as an alternative to the Mainstream Indian entertainment along with a library of movies and TV Shows. The app is available for free for Windows 10 PC, tablets and Mobile but users are advised to subscribe to be able to view some of the premium contents.
The app features content in Hindi, English and other regional Indian Languages. Most of the content or videos are available for free for viewing on the Universal App.
The app will be competing with the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime apart from Hotstar, SonyLIV etc. Windows 10 users might just be welcoming the new app ALTBalaji since Netflix is only having a Universal Windows 10 app.
The app comes with a dark UI with a seamless navigation and works very well. The Streaming is also pretty good and the app also offers parental control to ensure kids watch only programme as per the age appropriate.
