After rolling out the Windows 10 Creators Update Microsoft is now focusing on the Windows 10 Redstone 3 or so called “mobility update”. There are lots of exciting stuff already under pipeline for Windows 10 Redtone 3 such as Project NEON, MyPeople and more.

Meanwhile we are hearing about all new cool feature for Redstone 3. Microsoft is testing tabbed Windows for Windows 10. The new featured called “Tabbed Shell” in Windows 10 will essentially add tabs to windows. The new tabbed experience in Windows 10 will work across all the different apps including Win32 apps, the Universal Windows Platform apps, and also in File Explorer.

As the name suggest the Tabbed Shell will allow users to launch new tab for the app in Windows 10, just like we use it in any browser. Windows Insider community is waiting for this feature for a while now and company finally taking steps in this direction. In case if you missed it recently Twitter UWP app already gained the tabbed experience!

New Tabbed Shell will surely get good feedback from user. This feature sill surely improve the File Manager Experience. Talking about other app development then developers will be able to adjust titles, tab colors, create custom New Tab experiences and more.

Though call: When? Well this feature could arrive with the Windows 10 Redstone 3 or maybe with Redstone 4 which is scheduled for 2018. But if it is coming with Redstone 3 then company will surely give first glimpse of it at Build 2017 event in May. And Windows Insider will soon get this feature.

Microsoft has a lot in the pipeline for Windows 10 over the next 14 months. Now with these new features Windows 10 Redstone 3 seemingly turning out to be a pretty big update. Stay tune to Windows Latest for more update!
