Microsoft has just pushed out a major update for the Windows Store app on Windows 10. The update brings a refined UI and some new features as well.

Rolling out currently to Insiders on fast, slow and release preview rings, the update is available for both PC and Mobile. Though the update contains a load of new features, the biggest change introduced is the new download progress bar. Instead of the previous fat(and ugly)looking bar, there’s a new sleek one and it also comes with a download speed indicator.

There’s also a new share tab, improvements to the hamburger menu and an option to get the app on your Xbox One. Also there are now interactive notifications from the store app to launch or pin the app to your start screen. The usual dose of bug fixes and improvements are also present and honestly, the app has never felt so better before!

For users looking out for the version numbers, it has now been bumped up to 11703.1001.156.0 on both the PC and Mobile versions. Interestingly an update to the Windows Store app is also being rolled out for Production build users but it’s just a bug fixing update.

You can get the update for the Store app from the Store app itself.
