Last Week we announced the availability of Voice Call feature roll out by Telegram. The company had released the Voice Call feature to users in Europe with version 3.18. Today the company is releasing a new update to the application with a more global availability.
The app is now updated to new version 3.18.1 with the Voice Call feature now accessible to more wider audience located in Africa, North and South America. The Voice Calls are routed over peer to peer connections using audio codecs which provide clear quality of sound.
The company said that Telegram will be using the closest server to connect to the person you are calling. The Telegram Voice calls are encrypted and provide the most security possible to users. Users also have the option to receive calls only from known users and disable unknown users from calling via the Voice Call option on Telegram.
The Voice Calling option is currently available for some Beta Testers on Android and should be available for beta users on iOS very soon. If you are using Android in any of the above countries, then you can download the app via the below Google Play Store Link.
