The Voice and Video Calling feature has been missing from the Telegram App and the company was working on it for some time.

The Voice calls on Telegram just like messages are end to end encrypted which can be confirmed by comparing the four emoji’s on screen which actually act as a verification key and will be identical for both callers.

Users with the Voice Calling option will now be able to choose who can call them and turn off the voice calling entirely also. The company has also claimed that its Voice Audio quality is superior to that of its rivals and users can also choose to reduce call quality manually through settings for less data consumption.
