Telegram as we know has been working on bring Voice and Video calling feature to its app on all platforms. The telegram team is currently rolling out an update which brings the long awaited Voice Calling feature to users on its App.

The update is currently being rolled out to users on iOS and Android and is currently only available in Western Europe. The company says the feature will be released to all users across the globe on all platforms very soon. The Voice and Video Calling feature has been missing from the Telegram App and the company was working on it for some time.

The Voice calls on Telegram just like messages are end to end encrypted which can be confirmed by comparing the four emoji’s on screen which actually act as a verification key and will be identical for both callers.

Users with the Voice Calling option will now be able to choose who can call them and turn off the voice calling entirely also. The company has also claimed that its Voice Audio quality is superior to that of its rivals and users can also choose to reduce call quality manually through settings for less data consumption.

Another feature released in the latest update is the users will have the ability to choose the quality of the video that can be uploaded as the app will display a preview of how the video will look like to the recipient which is something no other messaging apps have, as claimed by Telegram.
