Microsoft is currently updating its Maps Platform with a new and consistent look for both Web and UWP apps. The company has updated the 3D engine by adding offline capabilities and more.

Microsoft has announced the availability of the new Map Styling API’s for Windows 10 which will enable the developers to customise the look of the map canvas. The new features are available for all regions except China, Japan and South Korea.

Microsoft is also supporting the new Maps app with the new Spooky, Winter and Gray Map styling apart from releasing a new and improved 3D Maps engine by announcing a new MapElement called Map Billboard which uses to display image on the 3D map.

The new Map with the new look is available for users on Windows 10 Creators update and the company will be providing more updates to the Maps App.
