Earlier we have reported that WhatsApp is working on introducing new features for its users on all platforms. The company has released lot of new features for its Messaging application for iOS, Android and Windows. The new feature the company is working on is the new Notification Alert for Contacts feature.
The new feature will alert your contacts when you change your mobile number. The alert will be send as a notification to your contacts added in your Phone Book. The feature is currently in internal testing by WhatsApp team and has not yet been available or released to users on any platform.
However we would need to see whether the company will provide an option to completely hide the feature. The Notification Alert feature one presume will work side by side with the other security notifications one receives when any of the contacts reinstall WhatsApp on the phone due to the impact of End to End Encryption.
The team is hard at work and is constantly working on improving the Messaging application by adding lot of new features namely: Unsend Feature, Pinned chats etc. After internally testing the features with performance and optimization issues the feature will first go out to the Beta Testers and eventually to the general public.
