The Social media giant Twitter’s latest report confirms that the company has shutdown over 6,00,000 Terrorism Accounts which promoted terror since August 2015. The Latest report shows the details of measure taken by the social media giant between Start of July and end of December about Twitter shutting down nearly 3,77,000 accounts.
The report further states that 74% of the suspended accounts were detected by the internal spam fighting tools. Earlier Twitter had faced tough criticism with the British Home Affairs Ministry having criticised the company for constantly failing to stop terrorism and extremism which is being promoted on its site.
For the promotion of Terrorism, Twitter also faced a lawsuit last year which claimed that the social media site had continuously spreading terrorist propaganda by allowing ISIS members to maintain Twitter accounts.
