In one hand we are hearing that Microsoft looking for a Senior Program Manager, and a Program Manager to lead the Windows Mobile team while in other hand we just received another set back for Windows Phone users.

Microsoft to discontinue carrier billing for Windows phones in India later this month. One of the carriers (Idea) from the country now notifying users that “Microsoft will discontinue Operator Billing service for Windows Phone in India” from March 30th.

Here’s the exact message:

Starting March 30, 2017, Microsoft will discontinue Operator Billing service for Windows Phone in India. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Well of course, Killing carrier billing in India will surely case a big problem for Indian users. They will have trouble in buying apps and games from Windows Store. There is no explanation behind why all of sudden company made a decision to killing carrier billing in India.

However Microsoft didn’t announced anything officially yet, but we are hoping that they will soon release an official statement on it. In addition it’s just one company that are notifying users. I haven’t received anything on any Lumia devices (Although, I do have another carrier).

How Indian Windows Phone users are gonna digest this news?
