Just a day after publishing buildĀ 15060, Microsoft has published build 15061 for PC insiders in the fast ring. Like all the recent builds, this one has only a couple of bug fixes and almost zero known issues.

Windows 10 Creators Update is almost finalized now, and it will get released in April. Microsoft is busy fixing all the bugs and annoyances and thus the frequent builds. This build includes a few fixes. Firstly there’s a fix for .mp4 videos not playing in the Movies & TV app. Then there’s a few fixes for OOBE crashes, VPN crashes and lastly a fix for Direct3D9 games getting crashed.

As for the known issues, fortunately there are no breaking bugs. Most of the bugs in the previous build are present here, namely language pack download failures and stuck updates which can be fixed by a PC reboot. There are also two registry edits to fix update and app crash bugs which are quite easy to deal with. And finally, the game bar flashing issue while broadcasting. You can view the full changelogĀ here.

With Creators Update just around the corner, new builds will become more frequent. Also to be noted, is that PC builds will get preference over Mobile ones. While this is not coming from Microsoft, but with PC’s getting the update first,Ā followed by Mobile, Microsoft will make sure that the PC release is bug free.
