WhatsApp team today released a new update for its Stable version of its App on Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile. The app has been bumped to new version 2.17.106.0. The latest update for the Stable version brings the Old Status back to the Application which was removed earlier since the company added the new “Status” option similar to Snapchat Stories.
The Team received a lot of flak and requested to re add the Old Status to the application, and the developers responded by adding the Old Text Status renamed as “About” in the Profile Page. The Old Text Status was already added to the WhatsApp Beta App last week for the Beta Testers and now the same is available on the Stable version of the App.
The Team however has retained the “New Status” along with the addition of the “Old Status” Now “About”. The update is a Server Update and you might not see a new update for the WhatsApp Stable version in the Store.
