Earlier this month Microsoft rolled out a major update to it’s OneNote app which bring number of new features and improvements for the Windows Insider in the fast ring. Now company is rolling out this update for all the users who are subscribed to Office 365.

First eye catching feature you caught after update is that a UI tweak. They reduced the size of some of the main UI components such as the ribbon, and context menus. Means that users now have a larger space on the OneNote app for reading and editing their notes.

In addition the major feature in this update is that the ability to graph the math equation, which is a really neat feature that’ll be really useful if you do your maths on OneNote.

In order to use this feature all you have to do is write your equation select it with Lasso tool and hit the Math button from Draw tab. It will give you a drop-down menu in which you have to select Graph in 2D option. Here by using + and – button you can change the parameter and finally hit that Insert button to plot the graph on your page.

Apart form that there are some other under hood changes and improvements in the latest version of the app. You can go ahead and grab the latest update from the Windows Store.
