GPD has been working on a new 7-inch Windows 10 Laptop with Touchscreen and it is called Pocket PC. A while ago, the company showcased the concept of the device but now GPD has published a video demoing the new Pocket PC.

The GPD Pocket features a 7-inch 1920×1200 IPS display and it is powered by Intel Atom x7-Z8700 Cherry Trail processor. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It features a all-in-one body made of magnesium and alloy. It is 18.5mm thick which makes the device look like a brick. The device will even sport a 7,000 mAh battery and it will offer upto 12 hours of battery backup.

It will have all the usual ports like USB type C, full-sized USB port, HDMI port and Headphone jack. It does not have any touch-pad but it rather includes a QWERTY keyboard and Lenovo’s ThinkPad style pointing nub which will act as a mouse. Moreover, it comes with an aluminum chassis.

The company has even compared the device with the Apple’s Macbook Air and Microsoft’s Surface 3 which makes no sense as the Pocket PC is a completely different device.

This device seems interesting especially with Windows 10 inside. However, most desktop software does not work well in a small display but the Store Apps should scale just fine. This device is for those who want a small Windows 10 Laptop to carry everywhere in the Pocket. You can order the device by clicking here.
