Microsoft yesterday pushed out a device driver update for Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 users. The device driver update however has not gone well with some of Windows 10 users. The driver was downloaded automatically to users on their Windows 10 Devices which was listed as “Microsoft – WPD – 2/22/2016 12:00:00 AM – 5.2.5326.4762.

After the update users complained that they were unable to connect their phone or portable device to their PC’s. Having received the complaints the company shortly pulled back the device driver update from getting installed on more devices.

The company has now provided a temporary workaround for the driver update till the company pushes out a permanent fix for the issue. Since the issue affected only a small group of users, and if you are one of them, then you can find the fix by clicking this link.
