WhatsApp team has released a new update for its Beta App on Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile. The app has been bumped to new version 2.17.78.0. The update does not bring the new “Status” feature to the Windows Phone.
The update for the app comes without any changelog and there are no new visible features and changes to be seen after the update. The WhatsApp team is working very hard in improving the application for Windows Phone. Since there are no new features, we presume that the update could well be a bug fixing and performance improving update.
The new “Status” feature is still not available for users in India. The feature is still rolling out globally and many users have not yet received the feature. Hope the feature will be available to all users by 24th February, the 8th anniversary of WhatsApp.
