Last month we reported that NuAns is launching a new Smartphone with Windows 10 Mobile, successor to its earlier launch of the NuAns Neo. There were reports that the company was launching the new NuAns with Windows 10 Mobile. But after three days of the announcements, there are fresh reports coming in that the NuAns will no longer be launched with Windows 10 Mobile, but instead will be launched with Android 7.1 on board.

The decision by the company to not launch a new Windows 10 Mobile, could have been made based on the Falling Market Share of Windows Phone which is now at 0.3%.

Below are the specifications of this new terminal with Android which are nothing special:

  • Full HD display of 5.2 inches (1080 x 1920)
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa Core (with a speed of 2.02GHz)
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 3450mAh battery
  • Fingerprint reader
  • Qualcomm Fast Charge 3.0.
  • Cost: Â¥ 49,800 (about US $ 440 – € 414)

The New Device with Android 7.1 will be available from May 31, 2017 in the Japanese Market. However we are yet to receieve any official statement from the company on the new development, till then take this news with a pinch of salt. We will however update this article once we have any official confirmation from the company.
