WhatsApp Team today released a new update for its Beta App for Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile. The update has bumped the App to new version 2.17.72.0. The update does not come with any new visible features.
The latest update however comes with the much awaited “Status Feature” which is the most awaited feature, but is currently “Disabled by Default” for Beta Testers. Below is the full Changelog:

Currently the above features are in internal testing by the WhatsApp Team and is very near for an release to the Beta App for Windows Phone. Currently the team is busy in optimizing the app on performance before it releases the Status feature for the Beta App.
