Telegram has been working on improving its Official app for Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile. The app is regularly updated by the Telegram Team to keep it par on performance with other platforms.
Now, a New Telegram Messenger Private Beta App with version 1.29.18 WP 8.1, has now popped up in the Windows Store, which is available for download for Windows 10 Mobile users only. The app is not a UWP app but is still a WP 8.1 app but with lot of featuers on the lines of Windows 10 Mobile. Below are some of the features:
- You can respond directly from Action Center for which you need not open the application (a feature-requested by users WhatsApp)
- Complete restyling on lines of Windows 10 Mobile.
- Improvements and fixes.
The app is however not a UWP Windows App. The app though is a Beta App the performance of the App is much more fluid to be called a Beta App. However it seemed that the App was available in the Store by mistake and the same has now been removed by the Developers with a new update pushed for the app which now only shows a cute Sticker.
The app is not longer available in the Windows Store for Download, but we hope that since the app is under development it should be released to the Windows 10 Mobile users very soon. We will keep you posted on the availability of the new Telegram App.
The UI of the Telegram app and the Features like Interactive Notifications, replying to Messages via Action Centre which are available in the Beta App, are definitely a big competition to the Facebook Owned WhatsApp App since many users of late have been asking for the Interactive Notificiations , replying via Action Centre for the app.
We would need to wait and see if WhatsApp will be working on the similar features and release it to the public before the new Telegram App is available for Public download.
