Telegram had earlier announced that it is working on a Universal App for Windows 10, but the company seems have now abandoned its plans of a Universal Telegram App for Windows 10. This means that Telegram will not be a Universal App and will work on Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile and Xbox. The current desktop program, which has recently received a major update, will simply be available via the Windows Store in the future.
Now we are getting news via GitHub that the company is working on releasing a Desktop App to the Windows Store via Project Centennial which will not be a UWP App. The company which promised a Universal App a year ago is not developing a Universal App for Windows 10 based on the UWP for Windows 10.
The news would mean that we would never be seeing a Universal App for Telegram but we would be able to download a Telegram Desktop App from the Windows Store based on the Project Centennial.
