Chuwi Hi13

The Chinese company, Chuwi is gearing to launch a new 2-in-1 tablet powered by Windows 10 to compete with Microsoft’s Surface Book. The company has named the device as Chuwi Hi13. It comes with premium design and powerful specifications.

Chuwi is going to display the Hi13 at CES 2017 in Las Vegas. Chuwi Hi13 is company’s annual flagship tablet built for users who are looking for a Surface Book but at an affordable price. The Chuwi Hi13 comes with almost same features like Surface Book but it has a different design and it does look premium like Surface Book.

The Chuwi Hi13 features 13.5 inch display with 3000 x 2000 resolution and 3:2 aspect ratio screen. Hi13 is powered by an Intel Apollo Lake Celeron N3450 CPU with Gen9 Graphics 500 GPU. The 2-in-1 tablet runs on Windows 10 Home operating system. It includes 4 GB DDR3L RAM + 64 GB eMMC ROM.

When we compare it with Intel Cherry Trail processor. The Apollo Lake CPU turns out to be the winner as it offers 20% better performance. The company is also providing Detachable keyboard and Stylus Pen. However, the other features, release date and price of the Chuwi Hi13 remains to be seen.

    But you really mean the Surface 3, right? SB is hugely more powerful, with a core series processor and discrete GPU option…

      Surface Book is indeed powerful. However, Hi13 will be priced around 500-600$. That equals to half of Surface Book’s price. Both have same almost same display and Chuwi will most probably offer more powerful variants.

        Only the screen is similar to the SB though and I think Chuwi is pushing that for the uninformed. Everything else puts it into the same tier as the Surface line, including the integrated GPU and eMMC. Heck it can’t even compare to the SP line. I don’t think anyone seriously thinking about the SB would consider this, unless they do have one with an i7 with real SSD and an NVIDIA card, unlikely for an OEM like Chuwi. It does have a nice laptop style keyboard dock.
