Facebook is rolling out a new option to its official Messenger App. The company to make video calls more authentic is rolling out a new option called “Instant Video”. You can have a more authentic Video chat while you are on chatting with your friends or family in Messenger.
The Instant Video can be activated during a Chat Conversation by clicking on the Video option present on the top right corner. Once you tap it will give you the option of real time video sharing. Your friend can watch the video stream while active on the Chat screen.
For the Instant Video option to be active and working, both the parties should have to be on the latest version of the Messenger App.
Describing the use cases of Instant Video, Facebook says:
“It’s perfect for sharing quick moments with friends who aren’t right by your side or making your conversations richer by seeing each other face-to-face when you are messaging. Sometimes you want to ask a friend’s opinion on a pair of shoes you want to buy, weigh in on what ice cream flavour they should bring home, or just want to see your BFF’s reaction to your witty message when you’re in a place where you can’t actually talk live.”
The Instant Video option is a great addition to the Messenger Chat conversation wherein you can share live video stream with the other party.
Note: The Instant Video option is currently available only for IOS and Android and should be available for Windows sooner than later. You can expect the Instant Video option to be available to Windows 10 Mobile sooner since the Messenger App available is a Ported IOS App.
The Instant Video option might not be available to all since Facebook has just started the roll out and you should get the option in next few days.
Any of our readers using IOS or Android, do let us know if you have already got the latest Instant Video option and the performance in the Comments below.
