Microsoft announces companion apps and services for you to enjoy Rio Olympics Games this summer.
The recently released NBC Sports App for Windows 10 and Xbox One will bring you every event live and on-demand. Mostly major events will be live and other games (and on-demand) requires authentication from your cable provider and is available in the United States only. It supports AT&T U-verse, Cablevision, Charter, Comcast XFINITY, Cox, DirecTV, DISH, Optimum, Time Warner Cable, Verizon FiOS TV, and many more. The app also supports Cortana commands such as “Open League Premier”, “Open NFL”, or “Open Live and Upcoming”.
Of course, like every other major events and sports, Bing will predict who will win every match in every game. It can also assist you which of the events you should watch. Bing also offers a unique feature called Events to Watch. It will be updated everyday and will let you know which upcoming games will be most exciting.
Cortana on the other hand, has got you covered. From games trivia, recommendations to watch, medal tally, schedule of games, players’ profile, and many more. Just add the Summer Games in your notebook and you are good to go. You can even ask her recommendations on events! Just say “Hey Cortana, tell me what summer games event I should watch?”. You can also have fun solving trivia. Just say “Hey Cortana, guess the summer games athlete.” She will then give you a clue and let you guess about athletes and games.
Also note that the built-in Sports app has a dedicated Rio Olympics section. The sports event will take place in Brazil from August 5 to 21.
