Tomorrow is the last day to get Windows 10 with the FREE UPGRADE OFFER, so if you haven’t installed Windows 10 yet, I suggest you to do that by 24 hours.

Personally, I’ve been using Windows 10 since the first techinical build made available back in October 2014, and I’m not gonna stop receiving Insider builds (which I’m proud to have)

But let’s talk about the impact that Windows 10 had since its public availability.
The market share of Windows 10 grown from being installed on insiders PCs to being the second most used desktop OS in June 2016, with a global share of 21.88%, following Windows 7 which is yet the most installed desktop OS, with a share of 42%.

Microsoft was originally planning to reach 1 billion Windows 10 devices by 2018, but due to to poor performance of its mobile division they had to reconsider the target (read more about it here).
Lately, they’ve been sharing some of the Windows 10 stats via the Windows twitter account to convince the last ones to surrender and upgrade to Windows 10:

  1. Cortana has answered over 6 billion queries!

2. Over 63 billion minutes spent using Edge

3. Over 19 billion hours of gaming with Windows

So, as the one billion devices target may fail, the first year of the OS was quite impressive. Indeed it is installed on over 350 million machines globally, and since we’re closing a chapter and opening a new one with the Anniversary Update, it’s totally worth it to upgrade your PC by tomorrow.
