Microsoft has released Windows 10 Mobile update for Windows Phone 8.1 devices on 17th March of this year. Windows 10 Mobile update is not available for older phones, only selected phones able to receive the update.

Today, AdDuplex published their July statistics report which reveals some major changes. According to the report, Windows 10 Mobile market share has increase by 1% in July, that is up from 0.5% in June. However, still around 88% users are on older versions of Windows Phone like Windows Phone 7,8 and 8.1.

Germany owns highest market share of Windows 10 Mobile along with 3 European countries. It will be now seen whether Windows 10 Mobile market share increases after Windows Redstone release or not. It is worth mentioning that Windows 10 Mobile is still not available as a recommended update for Windows Phone 8.1 devices, users still need to install an app in order to get the update on eligible devices.
