Microsoft has been working on a new UWP Skype App for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile. The App is currently in Preview and is currently not available for Public. The same is expected to be available for all Users with the Anniversary Update.
The app has been bumped to version 11.7.43.0. The update brings quite a few new features to the Preview App.
New Features:
- Notifications Interactive: now you can respond directly from the Action Center or push notifications without opening the application.
- Welcome message: when you open the first application, it now shows a new screen of welcome, where he invites you to start a conversation.
- Message left your connection: if it is without Internet access while chatting with someone on Skype, there will be a new message saying “Connecting …”, symbolizing the reconnection attempt.
- Bots and file sharing are also present.
These features will be rolling out to the Skype users for Windows 10 PC in the next update as far Windows Mobile users they have to wait for the Anniversary update to go public to actually have a Hands on with the new Skype app.
