Back in 2015 on BUILD conference, there was rumours that Microsoft working on Edge extensions support, which will work with desktop and phones. Extensions we’re promised for Treshold 1 – it didn’t appered. Same for Treshold 2. Eventually, it’s finally here with Redstone 1, but only for desktop Windows 10. Everyone was wondering, if it will even happen for mobile too.
Well, it will probably not happen at all. Few weeks ago on Microsoft’s Edge extensions site there was phone icon. It looked like this:
But now it’s gone, and it looks like this:
It’s sad news for everyone, who belived that extensions will be available for mobile, but as we can see – possibly it’ll not. Well… We can only have hope it’s not true.
