Groove Music today released an update to Windows 10 PC and Windows 10 Mobile for all insiders. The app has been bumped to version 3.6.2304.0.

The app brings new features to all with today’s update. This is the same update which was released couple of days ago to Insiders in the Fast Ring. Please find the changelog below of the new features rolled out.

Changelog:

  • With this update, Groove introduces major new personalization and discovery features – new ways to find and enjoy music you love
  • Get personalized playlists based on your music! They’ll appear automatically in Your Groove when you add music using Groove Music Pass or OneDrive
  • Music Pass subscribers: Explorer is now loaded with playlists from expert music editors crafted for every mood and activity
  • Based on your OS settings, Groove will keep downloading music over cellular when you’re not longer on Wi-Fi

Microsoft’s Ellen Kilbourne took to the community forums to give more detail on Explore, excerpted below:

Here at Groove, we’ve listened to your feedback telling us you want more discovery features in the app, and we’ve tried to make it a lot easier to find music you love by bringing you access to hundreds of curated playlists, hand-picked by our team of experts. You can browse them by activity, mood, or genre, and can play or save them offline for later when you don’t have a connection available.

The playlists will be curated by our own Groove editorial team, and by a team of expert providers that will help make sure you always have something to play that’s right at your fingertips no matter what you do or how you’re feeling. The feature will be rolling out first to everybody in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, and France on Windows 10. Tell us you love this feature and we’ll bring it to more devices later this year.
