Acast has launched a new Universal app in the Windows Store today, and is available now to download. It was already available on Android and iOS and is quite popular in their respective App Stores.

For the uninitiated, Acast is an online platform that helps you keep track of and enjoy your favorite podcasts and audio shows. Whether you’re into sports, news, comedy, business, education or even culture, there’s something offered for everyone.

The app is beautifully designed and has lots of features of it’s cross-platform counterparts. Here are some of it’s features:

  • Play your favourite podcasts on your prefered device
  • Discover new podcasts through curated lists
  • Search directly for shows, hosts or episodes
  • A feed that regularly updates with shows that you follow
  • Browse podcasts & audio by category
  • Continue listening where you left off
  • Save shows for later and listen when you don’t have reception
  • Play, pause and skip episodes from the lock screen
  • Experience images, links and videos embedded in the audio
  • Cortana integration and live tiles

The app is available to download both on PC and Mobile. Paid content isn’t currently available but you can enjoy free shows until the team adds support for Acast+.

Give Acast a go and tell us what you think in the comments section.
