In the past, we’ve seen Apple do it with OS X and iOS, but now… It’s here for Windows and Windows mobile!!! Microsoft has been largely improving with their notification system, especially pushing cross-device and cross-platform notification mirroring via Cortana on Android and iOS as far as it can go. But, until now, nobody could do that with Windows and Windows mobile… Till now, that is. Microsoft is also opening up their APIs to other ISVs to use…

In 14361, a new permission has been added to the privacy settings in Windows, making thE option to let apps access your notifications available. While Android and iOS have had this for a long time, Windows mobile hasn’t benn able to do this without some sneaky workarounds by developers…

Of course, t’is worth noting that no app currently supports it at the moment, although Microsoft may have already started working with other app developers to integrate this feature into their apps. Also, you can now dismiss your PC’S notifications from your Windows mobile device, if you never knew that…

Excited about this? Let us know in the comments below…
