We had already reported that VLC team is currently working on a new Universal Windows App for Windows 10 devices. Today the developer behind this app, Thomas Nigro said on twitter they will be releasing the first version today and would then be updating it one time in a week.
We'd like to release something today (today = in a few hours). Then, one update per week.

Since the app will be based on Universal Windows Platform so it will be available for different Windows 10 Based OS like Windows 10 PC , Windows 10 Mobile, Xbox One, and even Windows 10 IoT.
