No doubt continuum is great feature but all the great features needs some great hardware requirements too. Of course everyone wants to see whether there phone can support this unique feature or not. Its always good to see the minimum requirement before we check compatibility of our phones. We have also listed down the complete features of Windows Phone 8.1 devices that can be up-gradable to Windows 10 and Windows 10 devices features also.

Continuum for phone and tablet requirements

A Continuum supported phone must meet all requirements stated in the Windows 10 Minimum Hardware Requirements as shown below,

USB USB dual-role required to support wired dock configuration. USB 2.0 support required USB 3.0 recommended. USB Type C connector strongly recommended to support wired configurations.

Just to note again, all the older lumias like lumia 930 and earlier will not support continuum feature as they need minimum hardware. Here is the exact definition of the processors mentioned above,

  • MS8952 : Qualcomm Snapdragon 617
  • MS8992 : Qualcomm Snapdragon 808
  • MS8994 : Qualcomm Snapdragon 810
